I had planned that we would go to Animal Kingdom today but a predicted line of strong thunderstorms ruined that plan. Unfortunately they were a bit wrong about the weather and we would have been fine if we went. It rained earlier than expected. Now we'll have to shuffle the itinerary a bit. We'll go to Magic Kingdom tomorrow and Animal Kingdom on Friday. To fill our time today we went to the Orlando Science museum. The museum gets some terrible reviews online but Bohdin loved it. He found his favorite attraction of all time there. Since it is Florida they have an exhibit about oranges. The message is really lost but the activity is pulling orange balls from an orange tree. It is loaded into a tube behind the bike. As a person pedals the oranges are lifted up to a tube above the bike and eventually fall into a bin. A child would then load nine oranges into a wooden crate and put that onto a conveyor belt. The orange balls are sucked into a tube and the crate goes down below. Through a series of tubes the oranges are put back onto the tree. Bohdin spent about an hour doing this. I had to drag him away. He wants one at home.

Oranges
Monday morning we took advantage of our hotel amenities. Even though the pool is heated I was pretty skeptical that it would be fun to go swimming. The temperature was in the upper 50s. To my surprise the water was excellent. The hot tub or "hot bath" as Nyla referred to it was actually too hot. Nyla liked it but Bohdin did not. The bigger pool was a perfect temperature and we spent some time playing there. They opened the slide and the extra water features at 10 so Buddy was able to get two runs down the slide. I went back to our room to finish packing and the laundry while Buddy took the kids to the playground. I'm glad we had a chance to enjoy the hotel a bit. I wish I had known how nice that pool was. We may have taken more advantage of it. We had to move to the conference center hotel that afternoon.
