Birthday part 2

As I assumed, Nyla would have liked anything better than birthday cake. I wasn't even going to offer her some but Buddy did. You can see the results below.

 
 

We didn't do the birthday thing until after 8 because we had to wait for Buddy to get home. Bohdin hadn't taken a nap and was tired so it was really fast. We forgot to open presents. Today Grandma Thompson, Skip, and Yodonna came to visit so we opened them then. All of the presents to unwrap with the exception of one came courtesy of Nana. Bohdin gave Nyla the book he earned for participating in the library summer reading program. It was not his idea but he went along with it. We didn't get her anything. Thanks to everyone who sent presents and cards. Bohdin's favorite present is the cash register. He also is really enjoying his remote control car from our wonderful visitors.
 

 

It was great seeing Grandma Thompson, Skip, and Yodonna. I love hearing about all of their travels in their motorhome. An unstructured road trip is such a neat way to experience the country. Maybe we'll do that someday.
